The perfect guacamole recipe for any party, this dip is sweet, garlicky, and most importantly, simple. Serve it warm with fresh tortilla chips

  • Prep Time: 20m
  • Yield: 2 cups

  • 2 avocados, fully ripened
  • 2 avocados, fully ripened
  • 1 tomato on the vine, diced
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, diced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

  1. Place a skillet over medium heat and add your olive oil. Cook the red onions over medium-medium high heat until soft and translucent. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Set aside.
  2. While your onions are cooking, you can begin dicing your avocado and tomato. In a large bowl, mash the avocado to your desired consistency. If you like creamier guacamole, mix for longer. If you like chunkier guacamole, chop the avocado into smaller pieces and stir gently.
  3. Fold the diced tomato, cooked red onions, cilantro, and lime juice into the avocado, being careful not to mash up the tomato too much.
  4. Serve immediately (it\'s delicious warm!) or place in the fridge, covered, for up to 4 hours, or the avocado might start to brown.
