From the beginning, Creo Chocolate has been committed to crafting safe, sustainable, high-quality chocolate that our customers will love to enjoy and share. Creo’s cacao beans are sourced directly from our partner farm in Ecuador, and our processing techniques are designed with safety and quality in mind.
Since 2015, we have tested our beans for lead and cadmium. Both are naturally occurring elements often found in food products, including cacao beans. While the US has no standards for lead and cadmium levels in chocolate, both California’s Proposition 65 and the European Union’s standards provide maximum safety levels for consumption.
In our recent tests completed by an independent lab, no detectable level of lead was found in our beans. Additionally, the level of cadmium found was far below both Proposition 65 and the European Union’s standards.
The safety of our customers and the sustainability of our process is of the utmost importance. Creo Chocolate remains committed to creating exceptional chocolate—crafted without compromise.
