Creo Chocolate is looking for a Full-time Production Assistant (40 hours/week) to join our chocolatier team at our Portland factory. This hands-on role will assist in creating craft chocolate and related products. Reliable transportation/ability to walk to work is a must. This position offers significant opportunities for growth as you develop your skills in craft chocolate production. This position does not require chocolate making experience. Must have:
- Multnomah County Food Handlers permit (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Physical ability to work on your feet for long stretches in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Gmail and Google Suite
- Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety protocols
- Flexible schedule with ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities
- Desire to work four days a week, for ten hours a day (Monday through Thursday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist chocolatiers in craft chocolate production and related products
- Package chocolate bars and products with attention to quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in production areas
- Document processes clearly to ensure consistency and quality
- Support factory tours and educational experiences as needed
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Handle general maintenance and cleaning tasks as required
