The Pumpkin Carve-Off is a pumpkin carving contest on Instagram, hosted by Creo Chocolate and Longbottom Coffee & Tea. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
Dates
Entries are accepted from October 14, 2026 through October 31, 2026 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time. Finalist voting runs November 2-5, 2026, and the champion is announced November 6, 2026.
Who can enter
- People 18 and older who can pick up the prize in person in the Portland, Oregon area.
- Kids' pumpkins may be entered by a parent or guardian, who is the entrant.
- Employees of Creo Chocolate and Longbottom Coffee & Tea, and members of their households, can't enter.
How to enter

Carve, paint or decorate a pumpkin.

Post a photo or Reel of it from a public Instagram account.

Tag @creochocolate and @longbottomcoffeeandtea and use #PDXCarveOff.
One entry per Instagram account. The pumpkin and the photo must be your own.
How the winner is chosen
Judges from both businesses pick 8 finalists based on creativity, craft and a coffee or chocolate theme. Finalists then go head to head in Instagram Story polls on both accounts. The judges break any ties. The finalist who wins the final round is the champion.
Prize
The champion receives 1 lb of Longbottom Harvest Blend coffee, 1 lb of Longbottom Pumpkin Spice coffee, a Longbottom hoodie, 4 pumpkin spice biscotti, a 12-piece Fall themed Creo chocolate truffle box, a tin of Midnight Sipping Chocolate, and two tickets to Creo's Build-a-Bar Tasting Experience. Approximate retail value: $230. The prize has no cash value, and no substitutions are offered.
The champion must pick up the prize in person at Creo Chocolate Cedar Hills (2855 SW Cedar Hills Blvd) by November 14, 2026. If the prize isn't picked up by then, it goes to the runner-up.

By entering, you allow Creo Chocolate and Longbottom Coffee & Tea to reshare your entry on social media with credit to you. We'll ask you separately before using your photo in any advertising.
Contacting the winner
We'll contact the champion only by direct message from @creochocolate or @longbottomcoffeeandtea. We'll never ask for payment or personal financial information.
